Endurance Partners, a private equity fund, has invested in Premium, a company that emerged from the now defunct JMT Ambiplan, a subsidiary in Spain and Portugal of the Dutch group Boemer. With this transaction, Endurance provides the financial and operational resources that allow Premium to continue the successful trajectory that has established it as a leader and benchmark in furniture rental and carpeting solutions for the trade fair, events and congress sector, in a market where Spain is the fourth country in the world that holds the most international meetings, according to the ICCA Ranking (only surpassed by the United States, Germany and the United Kingdom).
"As a result of the operation, Premium is in a position to consolidate its national leadership - it currently has a 40% market share - and expand its operational capacity on the ground in Spain and Portugal," says Joan Chaler, the company's CEO. To this end, the firm has already closed collaboration agreements with the main players in its sector in Europe and has moved to new facilities, which allows it to have the greatest service capacity in its activity. "We have all the expertise and relational capacity that has led us to lead the market all these years. Thanks to Endurance's trust, we have sufficient capacity to attend the largest events that take place in Spain, Portugal and the rest of Europe with the quality and efficiency that has given us the leadership of the sector and the recognition of its main players", says Chaler.
According to the ICCA ranking of congresses held in 2019, Spain ranks 4th worldwide and the cities of Lisbon, Barcelona and Madrid are in the TOP 5 in terms of the destinations that have held the most congresses worldwide. ICCA statistics in 2019 also reflect that Barcelona, Madrid and Lisbon are among the top 4 cities in the world that receive more attendees in their congresses.
